5th Gear: Be Still and Know” Psalm 46:10

Last week Jesus showed us how to be still and yet keep moving. When we slow down using Psalm 46:10 as our guide, we see the road to this special stillness:

Be still and know that I am God
Be still and know that I am
Be still and know that I
Be still and know that
Be still and know
Be still and
Be still
Be

Let’s break this down for more clarity:

Be still and know that I am: “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” John 14:6

Be still and know that I: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

“And surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20

Be still and know that: I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Philippians 3:12

Be still and know: “On that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.” John 14:20

Be still and: “all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33
Be still: He leads me by still waters. Psalm 23:2
Be: Just be

“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things,  42  but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:41-42

May you learn to be still – in your heart and soul first – so that you may experience the fullness of Jesus’ “Life to the full.” (John 10:10)
